As chairman and chief executive officer of Catalina Marketing Corporation, Dick Buell is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the 24-year-old behavior-based marketing solutions company. Since beginning at Catalina in 2004, Buell has not only led Catalina's overall strategic growth, but has brought a keen understanding of the immense opportunities that exist in Catalina's core industries, as well as in new channels.

Buell has also tightened the company's focus on continued domestic growth as well as international expansion.
Buell entered his position with more than 24 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry with a heavy focus on strategic management and marketing. He served as vice president of marketing for Kraft, Inc., responsible for all marketing activities for the Grocery Products division. Prior to that, he was with McKinsey & Company, where he was responsible for domestic and global strategy organizational and operational studies. Buell also spent nine years at Griffith Laboratories, Inc., where he served as chief executive officer, and responsible for worldwide operating units.
Prior to Catalina Marketing, Buell was chief operating officer at Foodbrands America, a $3.6 billion processed food business. He also served as chief executive officer of WS Brands, a holding company within Willis Stein & Partners private equity partnership.
